Creative Forest School Approaches: Practical Outdoor Learning for Global Citizenship Education

This interactive webinar introduces participants to the philosophy of Forest School as a child-centred, experiential approach to learning that supports wellbeing, creativity and connection to nature. Grounded in Global Citizenship Education (GCE), the session will explore how outdoor learning can foster empathy, responsibility and environmental awareness among pupils through five practical and adaptable Forest School activities.  It is suitable for both primary and post-primary settings, with a focus on low-cost, accessible approaches that can be implemented in a variety of school environments. The session will also provide an overview of pathways for teachers interested in developing their practice in outdoor and place-based learning.
